Sarah Cant Couture MillineryBrowse the Collection
Couture milliner Sarah Cant is breathing new life and dynamic vision into the world of hats. Her sculptural and entirely hand crafted headwear is designed to set the wearer apart and to make her look, and feel incredible. As Sarah says herself 'The right hat will make a person stand that little bit taller, and look that little bit more polished and proud.' Using only the most luxurious materials and employing the finest traditional millinery methods, Sarah's hats are truly heirloom pieces. An emerging presence in the fashion world, dressing celebrities and royalty alike, Sarah Cant has attracted international media coverage in leading fashion publications.
After studying costume design, Sarah Cant trained at Kensington and Chelsea College, before working for milliner Stephen Jones prior to establishing her own label. Her distinctive style is both quirky and feminine, with an emphasis on strong, elegant shapes that flatter the face. Inspired by memories, photographs, found objects and history, Sarah's headwear always retains a simple, nostalgic elegance with a nod to modernity.
In 2010, Sarah published Hats! Making Classic Hats and Headpieces in Fabric, Felt and Straw. The book has been published in the UK, USA, France and Spain, and is widely used as a teaching tool for millinery courses. Sarah is also Course Director for the highly-regarded HNC in Millinery at Kensington and Chelsea College and teaches regular short courses at West Dean College.
