Biography

Crafting beautiful architectural structures with textured materials to create magnificent millinery is Camilla Currey’s niche. Inspired by a knowledge of textiles and interior design, Camilla was searching for an outlet where she could combine her creative skills and this led Camilla to create unique hats and then develop her own brand – Camila Rose Millinery.

Camilla is a British hat maker with an eclectic vibe yet Camilla didn’t hail from a traditional millinery background, Camilla graduated in Textile Design for Fashion from Leeds University in 2004 and went on to work for the internationally renowned interior designer Alidad. It wasn’t until 2013 when Camilla decided to follow further studies at Kensington and Chelsea College where she learnt the ancient craft of millinery and consequently landed an apprenticeship with renowned milliner and LoveHat’s designer Gina Foster.

Camilla now designs and makes her hats from her London studio and has dressed women for races, weddings and sporting events. With millinery ranging from hats with soft, elegant curves to hexagonal straw boater style headpieces, this brand has a unique hat for every woman.
